He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mitchell and Eleanor Mitchell; and his brothers, Artie, Steve and Chris Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Sarah Mitchell; his children, Brittany Howell, Brooke Fanning, Brenden Mitchell and Bryce Mitchell; his grandchildren, Jayce, Ellie, Rowynn, Beau and Miley; his siblings, Maryellen Mitchell, Lori Mitchell and Jimmy Mitchell; and his sisters-in-law, Stephanie Mitchell and Donna Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
