It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marguerite T. Slaven (Beverly, Massachusetts), born in Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 4, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anselme Melanson and Alice Melanson (Cormier); her grandson Sean Michael Hurley; and her siblings, J. Oscar, Romeo, Noel, Omer Melanson and Dorothy Tremblay.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Slaven (Janet) of Charlotte, NC, Marlene Hurley (Thomas Ferraro) of Lynn, Matthew Slaven (Valerie) of Cape Neddick, ME and Michael Slaven (Tracey) of Beverly; her sisters, Pauline McCarthy of Salem and Mary Jane Solimine (David Sr.) of Lynn; her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Melanson of Salem and Muriel Melanson of Lynn; her grandchildren, Joshua Slaven, Trevor Slaven (Aubree), Alyssa Hurley, Brendan Hurley (Christine), Alyson Cronan (Nick), Andrea Slaven, Michael Slaven and Kate Slaven; and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Nicholas, Lydia, Penelope and Baby Hurley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to capacity restrictions from COVID 19, Marguerite's funeral mass and burial will be private.
