He was predeceased by: his brothers, Kevin and Peter; and his brother-in-law Bill Ambrose. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Deborah Mullen (Phil), Richard Lodewick Jr. (Christine Spadaro), Thomas Lodewick (Therese) and Sarah Guido (Jon); his grandchildren, Joanna, Toal, Luca, Chloe, Charlotte, Theo, Quinn, Dylan and Emma; his brothers, Philip and Robert; and his sister-in-law Mary Ambrose (John Breda).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Engraftment Project (https://engraftmentproject.org) in recognition of the exceptional care provided by Dr. J. Mark Sloan and his team at BMC during Rick's battle with cancer.
