He was predeceased by: his parents, Loring Smith and Hester Smith (Curtis); his wife Maryann Smith (Nelson); and his brothers, Alfred, Robert, Russell and Donald Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alison Smith Kearney of Beverly and Kimberly Kochick (Brad Kochick) of Beverly; his grandchildren, Caroline, Grace Kearney, Charlotte, Tyler and Michael Kochick; and his sister Joanne Appleton of Brunswick, ME.
