He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen J. Sweeney and Florence Sweeney (Brown); and his brother John Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Genevieve Sweeney (Barretta); his daughters, Andrea E. Sweeney (Everett DeRoche) and Paula S. Quinlan (Michael Quinlan); his grandchildren, Victoria Quinlan and Stephen Quinlan; his sister Claire Sweeney; his sister-in-law Claudette Sweeney; and his sibling's children, Jackie Sweeney, James Sweeney and Jeffrey Sweeney.

Contributions may be made in Stephen's memory to St. Jude's Hospital, Smile Train or a charity of your choice.
