“Tom was a wonderful mentor and supporter. We held an “Inklings” book club at the mansion in Bev Farms. When he moved from there he gifted me with several Catholic statues and icons. I still have a large Franciscan Crucifix, which I would gladly return to his family. Tom was instrumental in my Catholic conversion. He also introduced me to “Brideshead Revisited”, my favorite 20th century novel and author. Tom was a man of tremendous erudition combined with humility.”
