He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Sr. and Mary'Helen'Messina; his in-laws, Edward'Kenny' and Barbara Plummer; and his brother-in-law John Krey.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Marie Messina; his children, Dawn Marie (Jeff Wagner) of Mansfield and Carl E. Messina III of Cambridge; and his siblings, Carlene Krey of North Reading and John Messina of Lowell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
