He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Heafey and Anne Heafey (Bertolino); Roberta (Draper). He is survived by: his significant other Marlene Richards; his sister Anne Mc Quade of Hull, MA; his children, Cheryll O'Brien (Douglas) of Abington, MA, Darlene M. Pacy (Mike) of Fitchburg, MA, George B and Heafey, Jr. (Susan Deehan) of Abington, MA.; his grandchildren, Sean P. O'Brien, Jared M. O'Brien and Melanie Lynn O'Brien; his great grandchildren, Wilder, Halston and Axton; his nephew Gregory McQuade of Richmond, Virginia.; his pet Mickey; Asher, Reid and Billy Heafey of Melrose.

George fought a brave battle with Alzheimer's, but always celebrated visits from his family and loved ones, and never forgot their names.
