He was predeceased by: his spouse Flore Burns (Blais); and his brother Joseph Burns. He is survived by: his children, Paula Burns of Riverview, FL, Steven Burns (Cathy) of Billerica, Douglas Burns (Carole) of Westford, Daniel Burns (Marie) of Billerica, Michael Burns (Carlos) of Jamaica Plain and Chris Burns (Laura) of Westford; his sister Elizabeth Mary Burns; his grandchildren, Christopher, Julianna, Gabrielle, Jennifer, Emily, Gregory, Jaclyn, Brandon, Sarah, James, Sabrina and Alexander; and his great grandchildren, Emanuele and Elouise. He is also survived by his family, his Iowa sisters and their children, will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Douglass Funeral Home (51 Worthen Rd, Lexington, MA 02421). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Douglass Funeral Home (51 Worthen Rd, Lexington, MA 02421). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Brigid Church (1984 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02421).
