He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Johanna (Loughry). He is survived by: his wife Helen A. Duggan (Chappelle); his children, Joseph Duggan Jr. (Mary) of Billerica, Denise Maniscalco of Winthrop, Jill Morris of Chelmsford and Cheryl Dornan; his brother Walter Duggan of Charlestown; his great grandchildren, Cruz, Amelia and Hayden; and his brother James Gallagher. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home (66 Concord Rd, Billerica, MA 01821). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Theresa Church (466 Boston Rd, Billerica, MA 01821). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fox Hill Cemetery (130 Andover Rd, Billerica, MA 01821).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund.
