Matthews of Billerica, Massachusetts, born in Lowell, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2025 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Matthews and Lillian Matthews (Horman). He is survived by: his uncle Paul; his wife Sandra Matthews (Faria); his children, Michael Matthews (Heather) of Chelmsford, MA and Karen Fisher (Scott) of Virginia Beach, VA.; his grandchildren, James, Christopher, Sean Matthews, Caitlin and Matthew Fisher; his sister Regina Powers of Billerica, MA; his nephew Joseph Powers; and his niece Carrie Collins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home (66 Concord Rd, Billerica, MA 01821). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Fox Hill Cemetery (130 Andover Rd, Billerica, MA 01821).
