He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis and Alice Mahoney (O'Donnell). He is survived by: his wife Catherine A. Mahoney (Halpin); his children, Cristin LaVita (Rob) of Wakefield and David Mahoney (Robyn) of Kingston, NH; his brothers, Francis "Fran" Mahoney of Dracut and Gerald Mahoney of Lowell; and his grandchildren, Genevieve Carroll, Ryan Carroll, Jason Mahoney, Donovan Carroll, Jack LaVita, Anthony LaVita, Colin Mahoney, Nathan Mahoney and Adeline Mahoney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
