It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard O. McCarthy of Billerica, Massachusetts, born in Berlin, New Hampshire, who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George McCarthy and Betty McCarthy (Cote); his sister Joanne O'Keefe; and his sister-in-law Janice Bekkenhuis. He is survived by: his siblings, Lorainne O'Keefe, Eileen Beals, Linda McCarthy, Susan Deleo and George McCarthy (Maureen); his wife Carol McCarthy (Irgens); his children, Lynn of Stoneham and Michael of Chelmsford; his in-laws, Robert Irgens (Rona) and Daniel Irgens (Patricia); and also, Donna, Jimmy McLaughlin, Carol and David McBride.
