He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander MacDonald and Christine J. MacDonald (MacLean). He is survived by: his wife Bernadette MacDonald (Roberts); his children, Ian MacDonald (Derrie Helmer) of Pepperell and Ashley Tsoukalas (Derick) of Billerica; his sisters, Muriel Carlo of Brighton and Debra Grinley of Londonderry, NH; and his grandchildren, Delaney, Cooper MacDonald, Jack and Lia Tsoukalas. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
