William J. Gallagher Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William J. Gallagher Jr. (Billerica, Massachusetts), who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. and Alexandria Gallagher (Tracy); and his siblings, Alice McDonald, Joan Duncan, Marilyn Martell, Paul, James McGrath, Robert and John Gallagher.
He is survived by: his brothers, Patrick Gallagher of Burlington, Francis James Gallagher of Billerica and Joseph Gallagher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home (66 Concord Rd, Billerica, MA 01821). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Fox Hill Cemetery (130 Andover Rd, Billerica, MA 01821).
Bill was a machinist for the MBTA for 36 years retiring at the age of 65 in 2002 and was a regular donor with the American Red cross donating over 100 pints throughout his life.
