He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth C. and Jean Gardner (Fogarty); his son James J. Gardner; and his sister Lila Coyle. He is survived by : his wife Janet M. Gardner (Gorman); his son Joseph J. Gardner of Blackstone; his sisters, Florence Murphy and Laura Palmieri; and his granddaughter Jasmine M. Gardner.
