He was predeceased by: his mother Joan Vilasi (Giralamo). He is survived by: his father Joseph Ligotti Sr.; his wife Paula Ligotti (Hurley); his children, Anthony J. Ligotti and Francesca Ligotti; his siblings, Jesse Bent (Doreen), Renee Ligotti and Angelo J. Ligotti (Lucia); and also Marie Ligotti. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who were touched by his humor.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ruggiero Family Memorial (971 Saratoga St, Boston, MA 02128).
