He is survived by: his spouse Michele "Mickey" O'Brien; his children, Cailin Flaherty and Rose Flaherty; his stepchildren, Nathan Flanders and Caelin Flanders; his parent Ann; his siblings, Paul Flaherty of Dorchester, Patricia Young (Danny) of Dorchester and Brian Flaherty of Dorchester; and also Galway. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Michael's name to the American Heart Association.
