It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard H. Escobales Jr. in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Richard has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Escobales and Marion Escobales (Curran); and his wife Irma. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Collins (Patrick) of Boston, MA, David Escobales (Lauren) of Sykesville, MD and Hilary Craig (Demian) of Las Vegas, NV..
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc. (911 Englewood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (1085 Englewood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to Canisius University.
