He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Eleanor Sauer (Keulian); his parents, Hans Sauer and Anna Sauer (Bowler); his children, Wayne Sauer (Donna) of Boylston, Todd Sauer (Jean) of Boylston and Brenda O'Brien (Scott) of Boylston; his grandchildren, Amanda Barter (Terry), Alison Sauer Kelley (Ryan), Kristen Sauer, Jenna and Cameron O'Brien; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, Matthew and Eleanor "Ella" Barter; and his siblings, Jane Huggins, Geraldine Ledoux, David Sauer, Nancy Lier, Josephine Young, Anna Young and Hans "Sonny" Sauer. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
