Corinne Williamson Obituary

Corinne Vance (Peterson) Williamson, 86, of Braintree, Massachusetts, loving wife of the late Frederick A. Williamson, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, just before the blizzard of 2026. Corinne passed peacefully, in her own home, and on her own terms.

Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on October 15, 1939, to the late Gilbert E. and Christina A. (Vance) Peterson, Corinne was a 1957 graduate of Braintree High School. Corinne worked for many years as a photo processor at Alves Photo, prior to retirement.

Corinne and Fred made their Braintree home a welcoming spot for family gatherings and friends, where throughout the years they hosted many cookouts, clam bakes, holiday celebrations and New Years Eve parties. Corinne was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed fishing, dancing, bowling, trying new recipes and visiting with dear friends. She particularly enjoyed planning her Braintree High School class reunions, including the recent 65th, which had a remarkable turnout. Corinne was happiest when spending time with family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Corinne is survived by her three children, Pamela M. Williamson of Medway, Todd A. Williamson of Canton, and Wendy L. Dittrich and her husband Peter, of Middleboro.

Corinne (Nana) is also survived by four grandchildren, Allison C. Joyce of Medway, Frederick T. Williamson of Canton, Amanda Dittrich and fiancé Andrew Barnes of Middleboro, and Cynthia Gotham and husband Matthew of Middleboro. Corinne was further blessed with two great grandsons, Axel Barnes and Alfred Gotham.

In addition to her parents, Corinne is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick A. Williamson, her daughter-in law, Patricia A. Williamson, her grandson, George A. Williamson and her sister, C. Jacqueline Chiarelli.

Special thank you to the nursing staff at Croi Health (formerly NVNA & Hospice), Norwell, MA for their caring and support.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, March 5th from 9:30-11:30am at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Braintree. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:30am in the funeral home. Interment following the service will take place at 1:30pm, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
