He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Welch (McCarthy); and his sister Rita Crowley. He is survived by: his brother Keeper; his sons, Michael Welch, James Welch (Maryan) of Walpole and Thomas Welch (Mary-Jo) of Braintree; his sisters, Marilyn Keegan of Holbrook, Geraldine Murphy and Doris Hartnet; and his siblings-in-law, Helen and Daniel McMorrow of Milton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hank's name to My Brother's Keeper, PO Box 338, Easton, MA 02356-0338 or to the Holy Cross Retreat House, 490 Washington St, North Easton, MA 02356.
