We announce the death of Donald R. Sullivan Sr. of Braintree, Massachusetts, born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 5, 2026. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sullivan and Nora Sullivan (McDonough); his children, Donna M. Fooks (Sam) of Braintree, William J. Sullivan (late Cherilyn) of Braintree and Steven R. Sullivan of Westfield; Donald R. Sullivan, Jr., James M. Sullivan, Kevin J. Sullivan, John, Mary, Patrick and Joseph Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife Joan A. Sullivan (LeDoux); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley, Christine, Daniel, Amanda, Timothy and Christopher; and his great grandchildren, Harold, Evelyn, Daniel, Jr. and Caroline. He is also survived by six siblings.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sweeney Brothers Home For Funerals (1 Independence Ave, Quincy, MA 02169). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint John the Baptist Church (44 School St, Quincy, MA 02169). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Saint Mary's Cemetery (245 North St, Randolph, MA 02368).
