It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Pauline Cooney of Braintree, Massachusetts, born in Framingham, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 29, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marco Fantoni and Pauline Fantoni (Decina); her husband James Cooney Jr.; her son Sean Cooney; and her sister Marcia Ward.

She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Brooks (Thomas) of Braintree; her grandchildren, Finnegan, Sullivan and Griffin; and her brother Henry Fantoni of Framingham.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Mass. General Hospital Cancer Center, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101.
