It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John F. Capavella (Braintree, Massachusetts), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 16, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Capavella (Callahan). He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Aiello of Rockland, Christine Emord (Joseph) of Carver, Joan Shaughnessy (James) of Hanover and Jaclyn Bova (Gerard) of Sandwich; and his siblings, Robert Capavella of Winthrop and Dolores Capavella of Duxbury. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was still busy playing gigs right up until the Covid-19 pandemic kept him at home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
