It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philapena G. Canale of Braintree, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Salvatore Leo and Nunzie "Nancy" Tricomi; her husband Michael C. Canale; her daughter Debra Canale; and her brother Pete Leo of North Carolina.

She is survived by : her children, Michael, Dorothy "Dotti" Canale of Braintree and Paul Canale of South Carolina; her sister Nancy Leo; her sister-in-law Mae Leo; her grandchildren, Christine of Texas, Stephen (Megan) of New Hampshire and Cristina; her great grandchildren, Karmen B. of Texas and Andrew of New Hampshire; and also Jose Merlo of Brockton.
