He is survived by: his wife Jean Vinton (Tirrell); his daughters, Lori Bruni (Anthony) of Weymouth and Cheri Fithian (Bruce) of Greer; his grandchildren, James, Alysse, Caleb, Nathan, Sandro and Daland; and his brother Ronald Vinton of Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Shore Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
