He was predeceased by: his wife Mary (Ahern); his parents, William Gavin and Belle Gavin (Lavery); and his brothers, Jack Gavin and Ronnie Gavin.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Gavin of Holbrook, Cheryl MacDonald (Darron) of Braintree, Merrilee Stewart (Bob) of Walpole and Stacey Ryan (Tommy) of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Brooke Doherty, Liana MacDonald, Erik MacDonald, Gavin Stewart and Sarah Ryan; his great grandchildren, Hayley, Owen and Connor; and his siblings, Eleanor Campbell of Holbrook, Patricia Gavin and Dave Gavin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
