He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jeannette; his son Jason Scalese (Tamra); his grandchildren, Molly and Henry; his daughter Sarah (Justin Gravius) of Alzheimer's Disease; his granddaughter Ellie; and his parents, Fred (Louise Scalese) and Boston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, NY – where he spent his final years being cared for by compassionate and kind medical and care staff.
