He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Myrtle Ruth (Dalgety) and Fernand J. B. Hamel; his wife Thelma A. Hamel (Brown) of Bridgewater; his children, Eric R. Hamel of Milton, Timothy Hanes of West Bridgewater, Jessica Hamel of Bridgewater, James D. Hamel and Kristin Freeman of Vermont; his siblings, Jeanne, Michael Gibbons of Taunton, Richard, Judith Hamel of Middleboro, Robert and Nancy Hamel of Wilmington; and his grandchildren, Thomas, Nicholas, Miranda, Jackson, Gabrielle, Djuna and Levon.

Visiting hours will be held with Covid-19 restrictions in the Prophett - Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater Monday July 20th from 5:00pm. to 7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Heart Association.
