With sadness, we share the passing of Carol Meier of Brighton, Massachusetts. Carol, born on April 13, 1938, passed away on August 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clarke and Mary Clarke (Kane); her husband Alvin Meier; and her sisters, Mary Frances Smith (late Donald) and Patricia Silva (late Sonny).
She is survived by: her children, Gary Meier (Theresa) of Brighton and Carolyn "Sissy" Meier of Brighton; her grandchildren, Abby Meier (Eric Nesmith) and Matty Meier; her great grandchild Eric Nesmith; and her brother Richard Clarke (Christine). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McNamara Funeral Home (63 Chestnut Hill Ave, Brighton, MA 02135). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home (63 Chestnut Hill Ave, Brighton, MA 02135). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Columbkille Church (321 Market St, Brighton, MA 02135). A burial was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at the 2026 St Joseph Cemetery (990 Lagrange St, Boston, MA 02132).
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Carol may be made to St. Columbkille School 25 Arlington Street Brighton, MA 02135.
