He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan Marie Callahan (O'Connor); his parents, John F. Callahan and Margaret T. Callahan; his grandchildren, Maura, Callie, Brian Belichick, Dan, Allie McLaughlin, Molly, Susan Wagner, Linda Hazard, John J. Jr., Gregory, Sophia, Anna, Rose, Declan, Michael, Madeleine, Ainsley, John, Ronan and Katie Dowdall; and his great grandchildren, Rose (Callie) and Jack (Steven).
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola (28 Commonwealth Ave, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Camp Harbor View.
