He was predeceased by: his parents, John Madden and Mary Madden (Staunton); his siblings, Patrick Madden, Teresa O'Malley, Delia Naughton, Katherine Burke and Richard Madden; and his brother-in-law Patrick Halloran.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Madden (Halloran); his children, Kathleen Benjaminsen (Glenn) of Norton, John G. Madden (Jennifer) of Cohasset, James Madden (Melissa) of Canton and Colleen Fairchild (Tim) of Walpole; his great grandchildren, Apollonia and Ophelia; his sisters, Philomena Danehy and Sarah Pitta; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Halloran and Nora Lavelle Schwartz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to Massachusetts Audubon Society.
