He is survived by: his wife Joesell Mitchell (Williams); and his children, Helen Phillip (Hilario) of Maryland, George Mitchell Jr. (Mary) of Massachusetts, Betty J. Radford (Perry) of Maryland, Barbara J. Knight (Robert) of Massachusetts, Rev. JoeAnn M. Walker (Anthony) of Massachusetts and Tonita Mitchell (Ricardo Morrison) of Massachusetts.
