Gregory L. Nelson Obituary

Gregory L. Nelson, 68, of Brockton, passed away peacefully at St. Lukes Hospital in New Bedford on September 24, 2025. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Meade) Nelson.

Born and raised in Norwood, he was the son of the late Leroy J and Ruth Marie (Ostrom) Nelson. Gregg was a stand out track athlete from Norwood High School, graduating in1975. He also attended Babson College.

He was retired as a software engineer with, Atex Inc., EPPS and Boston Globe. In retirement he worked part time at Floor & Decor.

Gregg enjoyed sports, counted cross stitch and was an avid homemade cook. He mostly enjoyed the time spent with family.

Besides his wife Patricia he is survived by his 2 daughters, Stephanie Langer and her husband Tom of New Hampshire and Victoria EIleisy of Virginia; a sister, Donnamarie Nelson; 3 grandchildren, Austin Nelson and his fiance' Emily Faiella, Collin Langer and Madison Langer; 2 great grandchildren, Oliver Nelson and Penelope Nelson. He was the brother of the late Barbara Ann Nelson.

Funeral services are being held privately be his family. Donations in his name may be made to a charity of ones choice.
