He is survived by : his wife Maria Manuela Baptista; and his children, Fernando Barbosa of Fogo, CV, Marcelo Baptista (Maria Delaney), Deolinda Daveiga, Silvestre Baptista (Anabella Teixeira) of Praia, CV, Joao Baptista (Salome Baptista) of Diogenes Baptista, PA and Isabel Teixeira (Manuel Teixeira). He is also survived by 19 grand-children and 8 great grand-children, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
