He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Hayes and Bertha Hayes (Pierce); and his sister Loraine Maroney. He is survived by: his wife Julie M. Hayes (McDonough); his son John J. "Joe" Hayes of East Bridgewater; and his grandchildren, Christian Hanley, Abby Kiernan and Kevin Hayes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
