Though Karyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Karyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Michael E.; her husband Charles Stafford Short Jr.; her children, Charles Stafford Short III (Laura Short) of Scituate and Corey Short of Brockton; her grandchildren, Charlotte and Thomas Short; and her sisters, Kathy Donahue of Kingston, Susan Clancy of Buzzard's Bay and Lisa Yanarella of Onset. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karyn's memory can be made to National Alliance of Mental Illness or Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts.
