He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambroise Cardoso and Antonia DaSilva (Teixeira); and his son Christopher Teixeira. He is survived by: his wife Idalina Teixeira; and his children, Valery Andrade, Nicholas Teixeira, Christina Teixeira and Carlos Fontes. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
