He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert LaGarde Sr. and Joyce Travers (Schaub); his stepfather Leonard Travers Sr.; his brother Paul LaGarde; and his stepbrothers, Leonard Jr. and Kenneth Travers.
He is survived by: his stepson Jason Guerra; his grandson Trevor Lewis; his stepgrandchildren, Emily, Andre, Anthony Guerra and Noah Lewis; his brothers, Robert Jr. (Barbara LaGarde), David LaGarde, Steven (Laura LaGarde), Peter (Jeanette LaGarde), James (Zelia LaGarde) and John Travers; and his stepbrother Arthur Travers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
