He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelino José Rodrigues and Lucinda Galvão. He is survived by: his wife Natália Rodrigues; and his children, João Rodrigues, Paulo Rodrigues, Lucinda Silva, Olga Gomes, Sandra Mancebo and Valdir Rodrigues. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
