He was predeceased by: his parents, Ecclesiastes Day and Mamie Fye; his daughter Donna McNair; and his brother Samuel Day. He is survived by: his wife Florence M. Day (Bennett); his children, Richard A. Day Jr. (Carly), Lisa Simione and Glenn Fredette; his grandchildren, Lyndsay (Tim), Glenn Jr., Gino, Anthony, Adam, Michael, Evan and Amya; his great grandchildren, Austin, Imani, Isabella and Rayna; and his siblings, Otis Day, Tony Day, Joyce Douglas, Judy Day and Jean Mims. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
