With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Valdemiro Lopes (Brockton, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2025 at the age of 73. As we bid Valdemiro farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Valdemiro is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingos Lopes and Domingas Miranda Lopes. He is survived by: his wife Gilda Gomes Depina Lopes; and his children, Maria Lopes, Sandra Lopes, Edna Lopes, Osvaldo Lopes, Catiana Lopes and Walter Lopes. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Lopes Funeral Home-Brockton (647 Main St, Brockton, MA 02301). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Edith Stein Parish (71 E Main St, Brockton, MA 02301). A burial was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Melrose Cemetery (88 N Pearl St, Brockton, MA 02301).
