He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Carolyn "Lynn" Palmer; his wife Carolyn "Lynn" Tirrell; his children, Richard Tirrell (Zara) of Virginia, Donald Tirrell of Georgia, Douglas Tirrell (Betsy) of Maine and Cynthia Tomaswick (James); his grandchildren, Ashley Williams (Cory), James Tomaswick (Colleen), Caileigh Tirrell, Hannah Tirrell, Linley Tirrell, Calvin Tirrell and Alyssa Tirrell; his great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Olivia and Ellie; and his brothers, Robert Tirrell (Virginia), Elliott "Bud" Tirrell and Edward Tirrell. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
