He is survived by: his wife Helen Kainamisis (Kontos) of Cambridge; his children, Virginia Kainamisis of Lowell and Jonathan Kainamisis (Sandra Caban) of Lowell; his grandchildren, Alexander and Evander; his sister Athanasia Barkitzis of Ptolemaida, Greece; his sibling's children, Grigori Barkitzis, Gianni Barkitzis, Maria Spitzer, Evan Spitzer, Tina Georgiopoulos and Sammy Georgiopoulos; and his sister-in-law Anna Kontos of Watertown.
