She was predeceased by: her parents, Claudius S. Jones and Carlotta E. Jones (Worrell); her son Darnley H. Jr. 'Butch'; her husband Darnley Thorne; her son Steven Thorne; and her siblings, Inez Stanford, John Worrell, Livingston (Livvy), Clement (Clem), Egbert (Eggie) and Robert Jones (Guy).
She is survived by: her children, Earl C. and Yvette C. Thorne; her grandchildren, Dawne and Patrice (Chris); her great grandchildren, Reece and Marleigh; and her cousin Gwendolin Lee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
Pastor Paul and the members of WMBC were very kind to Carlotta during the pandemic, calling and sending her cards with well wishes.
