She was predeceased by: her parents, George Arel and Helen Arel; her daughter Susan Ann Robinson; and her husband George A. Smith Sr.. She is survived by: her children, George Smith, Donna Belanger and Phillip Smith; her niece Janice Flannigan; her grandchildren, Diana, Emily, Ian, Alexander Belanger, Marielle Scippa, Molly and Helen Smith; and her great grandchildren, Camden, Evelyn, Abraham, Sophia, Rocco and Michael.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the food pantry at St. Patrick's church in Watertown, MA.
