It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald J. McCarthy of Cambridge, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCarthy and Marion McCarthy; his wife Kathleen (Byrne); and his siblings, Kevin McCarthy, Paul McCarthy and Maryann McCarthy.

He is survived by: his daughters, Caitlin Chalifour (Jason Chalifour) of Pelham, NH, Megan D'Andrea (Christopher D'Andrea) of Hanover, MA and Colleen Dwyer (Colin Dwyer) of Swampscott, MA; his grandchildren, Lia, Stella, Jack, Drew, Aria, Zachary, Maisie and Nolan; and his siblings, John McCarthy, Joe McCarthy and Maryellen Blanchard. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews.
