He was predeceased by : his parents, Oliver Ifill and Edna Bynoe Ifill of Barbados; his siblings, Stanley Ifill, Evelyn Ifill, Harold Ifill and Kathleen McCollin (Ifill); and his son Gordon O. Ifill Jr..
He is survived by : his pet Cadillacs; his sisters, Dorothy Clarke (Ifill) and Jean Sykes (Ifill); and his nieces and nephews, Valarie Ifill, Victoria Ifill, Veronica Ifill and Von-Dee Robinson (Ifill). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
