He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh McGuirk and Eileen McGuirk; his wife Phyllis Jean (Jeannie); and his children, Dorothy Ann (Dee Dee) and Michael Patrick McGuirk.
He is survived by: his sisters, Sister Christine Julie McGuirk and Mary Ellen McGuirk; and his son Joseph McGuirk Jr.. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
